Pams Trip to Canada

(written by Pam!)

I arrived in Vancouver on Friday 23rd March and spent two days exploring the local Park and the Shopping Malls. On the Sunday Christian and I traveled to Whistler to stay at his and Dave's apartment. This gave me a chance to try my hand at boarding.

Taken in Stanley Park, Vancouver, Christian and I checked out the local wildlife. Canadian Geese and black squirrels were in abundance.

The weather in Whistler changed from gorgeously sunny to impressively snowy daily.

The beginning of Rebagliati Park, Whistler, which follows Fitzsimmons Creek to the Lost Lake. This path took us to the bottom of Blackcomb Mountain which was great for a beginner boarder like me to practice.

We think the park is named after olympic snowboard champion Ross Rebagliati.

Well, after a couple of days I found my best boarding position!!

The gondola trip to the top of Whistler Mountain takes about 20 minutes and is well worth it for the spectacular views.

The view from the top of Whistler Mountain. It was pretty cold up there.
