I did these using the 'burst' mode on the camera. Now what this does is take 5 sequential web quality pictures (resolution 320x240) in a second. I then ran these through an animation program which allowed me to join them together and save them as an animated GIF. These are the results, after a little fiddling.

At the end of the day I think using the Video mode of the camera may have given better results as it would have captured more frames...
